I finally saw one of the big Galapagos
tortoises in the wild. Sunday morning we drove out to “Cerro Mesa,” one of the high points on
this island. On the way we saw one
of the big Galapagos tortoises on the side of the road. Everyone was driving careful in
case he should decide to start across.
WOW Again! Very Cool! It's funny that everyone was driving slow, what, were they expecting him to dart out into traffic? ha ha ha! :-D I didn't think 'darting' was even a possibility for a tortoise!
ReplyDeleteNo they don´t ¨dart¨ anywhere. Maybe they were taking pictures or just looking. You don´t see those big guys every day. It was unusual to find one that close to town.
